Job Description

Senior Java Software Engineer - Direct Hire

  • 7+  years of experience in Object Oriented Software Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Deploying and Testing of enterprise systems using multiple JAVA/J2EE Technologies.

  • In addition to everything else the candidate must have experience working with Enterprise Java Bean's (EJB) due to a significant amount of legacy code they will be dealing with. 

  • Extensive experience developing middle-tier applications using Spring, Hibernate and Web Services.

  • Experience implementing Web application with Struts, Spring MVC, Stripes and Tiles Framework.

  • Experience in developing Java Web Services (JAX-WS), SOAP, REST and Spring WS.

  • Strong development experience with Client-side Web technologies JSP, HTML, CSS, JQuery, XML, Ajax AngularJS and JavaScript.

  • Experience in developing unit tests for applications using JUnit and Mockito frameworks.

  • Very good experience with MVC Architecture and implementing GoF J2EE Design Patterns.

  • Design and Development experience with Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) that includes Session Beans, Message Driven Beans (MDB) and Entity Beans.

  • Worked with JMS API to handle the asynchronous processing of the event files.

  • Experience working in Continuous integration environment with Jenkins, Maven and SonarQube.

  • Expertise in developing J2EE applications using Eclipse, IBM RAD/RSA IDEs.

  • Experience with version control tools like CVS, SVN and GitHub.

  • Strong Experience with various application servers Websphere7/8.5, WebLogic 9 and Tomcat6/7.

  • Strong Experience with with Relational Databases Oracle 10g/11g.

  • Solid experience in database tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer and writing SQL, PL/SQL queries

  • Exposure to Full stack development using MEAN (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, NodeJS)

  • Participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, code development, testing, deployment and support is required.

  • Working experience with Agile processes like scrum daily standup meetings, Sprint planning, iteration development and retrospectives is required.

  • Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization is required.

  • Must be a Self-starter, able to handle multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.

  • Experience in leading a team of developers such as creating work assignments, code reviewing, and mentoring team members on software development is highly desirable but not required.
