Job Description

Techead is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a  client which will be supporting the Product Team. The successful candidate will provide project management support, risk tracking, and oversight on a business-critical Enterprise wide project.   Some travel is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide PM support for highly complex, large-scale and high priority IT application-based projects, from start to finish, to ensure they are completed on time and within budget

  • Defines highly complex system user requirements/objectives

  • Serves as a technical consultant to customers throughout project life cycle

  • Collaborates with technology-based project team members within and outside department to ensure highest possible efficiency and effectiveness

  • Provides thought leadership on how to apply best project management and agile practices that will ensure team success

?Required Experience:

  • 5 to 9+ years of relevant Project Management work experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • PMP certification required

  • Proficient using Microsoft based PCs and applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, MS Project  and other applications

  • Knowledge of PMBOK and or Agile project practices

  • Experience with engineering projects (electromechanical and software)

  • Experience or significant knowledge in Agile project practices (Lean / Scrum / Kanban, etc.)

  • Experience managing projects with external vendors doing a substantial portion of the work for design and build

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication, ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Overnight travel may be required (possibly 5 to 20%)
