Newport News, Virginia 23603 – Contract to Hire

TECHEAD is seeking a Hub Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a Hub Senior Project Manager your tasks will include but may not be limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the delivery of both the Software and Controls scope of supply of each project.

  • Follow and be an advocate of the Software and Controls HUB Realization Process.

  • Ensure all assigned HUB projects are realized per defined processes, are delivered on schedule and within budget while maintaining customer-focus and high quality.

  • Participate and contribute to monthly Project Progress Reviews for all assigned HUB projects.

  • Mentor less experienced HUB Project Managers.

Secondary tasks

  • Lead Solutions Realization team meetings.

  • Provide support / input to Customer Support tasks and activities performed by HUB resources.

  • Train/mentor fellow HUB Project Managers etc.

  • When requested by the Director of Solutions Architecture, carry out tasks outside of your role’s responsibilities: research, recruitment interviews, statistical/data analysis.

Educational / Professional Qualifications


  • Formal qualification: BS or BA degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.


  • PMP certification

  • Scrum Master certification

  • Scrum Product Owner certification

  • Other software/controls product SME certification

Necessary Experience


  • 8+ years of software or controls development and implementation, from which at least 5+ years as PM managing development team of 6 or more developers

  • Have experience and a proven track record in leading Software and/or Controls project teams successfully, achieving the goals set by the management

  • Have working knowledge of the Warehouse and Distribution business sector


  • Have working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems

  • Have working knowledge of Material Flow Control Systems

  • Have working knowledge of PLC controls and control logic

  • Have experience in defining, procuring, installing and maintaining IT Hardware, Controls Hardware and their supporting infrastructure
