Data Analyst III - Contract Role

Richmond, Virginia

TECHEAD is seeking a Data Analyst III to join our team. As a Data Analyst III your tasks will include but may not be limited to:


  • Responsible for the administration and design of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Includes expertise in data quality, data organization, metadata, and data profiling.

  • May provide technical support on data warehouse teams. Data set sizes could potentially be huge (in excess of hundreds of millions of records). 

  • Demonstrated ability to move from one sequential assignment to the next (work environment and priorities can change quickly depending on business needs).

  • Demonstrated ability to move relational and hierarchical data between environments and across multiple platforms.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with Financial Services clients

  • 5+ years of experience OLAP, SQL or other major querying tools

  • Desired Common skill sets - Agile methodologies, Oracle, VBA, UNIX, SharePoint or other web-based collaboration tools

  • Desired Optional skill sets - Python, Amazon Web Services (AWS), JIRA, Confluence

  • Ability to coordinate work with others while involved with multiple work streams

  • Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels

  • Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a financial business and data a plus

  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies 

  • Experience working with BIRST (BI TOOL)
